Hot dip galvanized threaded rod from Canco Fasteners is manufactured in mild steel and Grade 8.8, galvanized to ASTM A153 Class C and ISO 1461. The zinc coating is metallurgically bonded to the steel, giving service life measured in decades in exterior and coastal exposure — substantially longer than electroplated zinc.
Specified for solar mounting structures, bridge and highway furniture, transmission infrastructure, external façade support and any outdoor structural fixing where the assembly cannot be maintained after installation.
Mating nuts are tapped oversize after galvanizing to accommodate coating thickness on the rod threads, and are supplied matched to each consignment so assemblies run freely on site.
